Eugene Monaghan was ordained in 1962 and for over twenty years
he taught religious knowledge and
music to 11 - 18 year old pupils at Ratcliffe College,
Leicester. For ten years he was also Director of
Music. In addition to academic music, he taught piano and organ
and composed and arranged music for
both chapel and concerts choirs, wind ensembles, orchestra and
big bands, as well as incidental music for plays, larger works
for chorus and orchestra and many settings of liturgical texts
